Live In a Green Home This Summer
Most people have a thermostat in their apartment or home. Did you know that you can use the thermostat as a tool this summer to make your home eco-friendly and save money?
Some green tips for your thermostat this summer include:
- The best way to save energy in your home is to set your thermostat at a base temperature and try to keep the temperature at or above the established degree. A good goal to strive for is to set the thermostat between 73 to 75 degrees when inside the home.
- This is self-explanatory, but set your thermostat a few degrees higher when out of the home: at work or on errands. Try to keep it above 75 degrees when you are out for a period of longevity.
- Similarly, set your thermostat a degree or two higher when you go to sleep at night.
These three tips will not only save you money, but promote a green lifestyle in your home.
