Random Acts of Kindness Week: Environmental Focus

Direct Some Kindness to the Environment This Week

February 14-20 is Random Acts of Kindness Week.  This week is centered on looking beyond oneself and genuinely helping out other people and performing actions in an altruistic manner.  Along with assisting a neighbor or donating to a charity, consider several other green ways to show kindness during this week:

1) Throw away a piece of discarded litter when stopping to discard trash.

2) Plant a tree or a garden.

3) Volunteer to sort the recyclables for roommates or neighbors.

4) Decorate a pot and plant a flower inside and give that to a friend who might need a pick-me-up for a gift.

5) Donate old stuffed animals or blankets to an animal shelter.  Not only does that reduce waste, but dogs and cats will be very pleased with this donation!

And more...
